CBD HEMP OIL FOR PETS
2021-11-23CBD oil is used not only by humans, but also for dogs, cats, and horses. Humans aren’t the only species that benefit from CBD hemp extract oil. This is great news for your pet! CBD produces cannabinoids from the hemp plant, just like the animals produce its own cannabinoids, however, sometimes naturally produced quantity is not enough to keep their fitness level right. CBD prescribed for pets can result in improved functionality and improved body balance. Studies carried out in various countries have proven the effectiveness of CBD in dogs, cats, and horses.

An advice
As an alternative, we suggest using cold-squeezed CBD hemp seed oil. Why? Seed oil made from hempcontains antioxidants and vitamins (such as vitamins E and B). CBD oil contains fatty acids as well as amino acids. Used as a food supplement, CBD oil contains positive effects on your pet’s nails, fur and, and may work as an anti-inflammatory factor.
For animals who suffer from skin problems, such as itching, eczema, and dryness, CBD oil can potentially mitigate the suffering and result in restored skin and fresh fur, and thus it would increase the overall health condition.
CBD oil is not a medication that would treat any disease and so it should be implemented as a part of your care regimen. If you use CBD for your pet, please report it to the vet and do not stop using the medication prescribed by your vet.

CBD oil made for pets differs in dosage compared to humans. The dosage for pets must match their body weight. However, pets and humans share the same consumption aspects – CBD oil should be used in smaller doses to begin with and over time the dosage should be increased until the required effect is reached. One dose per day is usually enough. If the illness of your pet is severe, then you can increase the dosage to 2-3 drops per day by mixing it with your pet’s food.
Here is a typical dosage: start your first day with one single drop of CBD oil. On the second day, increase the number of drops to two. On the third day, increase the number of drops to three and carefully observe your pet’s behaviour.
For example, the dose needed for most dogs is approximately two drops per 5kg of body weight. It is recommended not to exceed the limit of three drops. This applies to humans as well as pets – we find the most effective dosage by test and trial. However, note that increasing the dosage of CBD oil may not increase its effectiveness. CBD oil 3% for pets should be used for at least 3 weeks before detecting any improvements. After 3 months, it is recommended to take a break for at least a couple of days.
