WHAT IS CANNABIS?

WHAT IS CANNABIS?

What is cannabis?

We keep hearing about cannabis and its products – CBD and THC from various sources, including media, television, and social media. Therefore, this blog will explain all the information regarding cannabis products, their effects on our bodies, potential possibilities of growing cannabis, their use, and much more.

For hundreds of years, our ancestors have used grains of cannabis for various reasons: building homes, oil production, using it as raw material, and even making food out of it.

Hemp can also be used to make tea (especially when it’s used for medical purposes), and it can be blended into various foods, including cakes, cookies, and sweets.

There is evidence stating that hemp or at least some of its components, such as CBD, may be useful for treatments, including pain, inflammation, nausea, and chronic diseases.

Note that out of 120 substances found in hemp, CBD and THC are the only two most-researched components.

Another major component of hemp is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)

THC is the main mind-altering (psychoactive) substance in hemp. It affects very specific receptors in the brain, causing a potential change in mood, depression, suicidal thoughts, problems with memory, and disruption of standard learning abilities. It may also result in addiction.

The compound is also known to stimulate the appetite (also known as “munchies”) and induce a state of relaxation; also affecting auditory and visual senses. THC can also cause fatigue. For some people, THC can result in reduced aggression.
